After the success of the Brno KERA studio, I decided to bring our unique concept of a self-service ceramic studio to the heart of the Czech Republic.

Prague studio has been operating since 2023 and is located on Veletržní 207/11 in Holešovice. It is a creative sunny space in the middle of gray and dust of a busy street. Behind the studio doors, you will find peace and relaxation and space for your own creation.

We believe that creating should be free. Therefore, we do not have an instructor or supervision - everything works on mutual trust. Come, make or choose a product, colors and tools, and create at your own pace. In the studio, you will find four places at the table and two places at the potter's wheel.

Our ceramic studios are self-service. There is no instructor in the studio to guide your work, so you work independently. Beginners and those who know the basics can come to the studio. The studio is here for you to improve your skills. Every visit, take a photo to see your progress and share it under #kerastudio

1 Create an Account with Us

In the customer section, create an account where you can easily manage your reservations and sign up for courses and workshops. When registering, you will receive your unique number, which you will always use to sign your products.

2 Top Up Your Credits

Through the payment gateway, you can upload credits to your account. You pay for studio entries and spots in courses from this deposit. It's really simple!

3 Reserve a Time in the Studio

You already have an account and topped up credits. Now just find a suitable date in the calendar, and that's it. After each reservation, you will receive a six-digit code by email that will open the studio doors for you.

Consultations

Our goal is to teach you to make ceramics, so every week there are consultation hours with an instructor who is here for you. Free of charge. Every Monday from 18-21.During consultation hours, the instructor is available to you at no extra charge. They will answer all your questions regarding throwing and modeling, help you with applying glazes, or explain the procedures for decorating bisque-fired products. If you are a beginner, we recommend that you reserve your first hour in the studio during consultations. The instructor will explain the studio's operation and help you with your first contact with clay.

We have wheels for modeling, plaster molds, all hand tools and equipment, ceramic clays, engobes, watercolors, and pastels for ceramics, glazes. In the studio, you will find samples of fired clays, engobes, and glazes. In the studio, there is a Bluetooth speaker, a coffee machine where you can make a funky anaerobic coffee from Doubleshot for 30 CZK, a kettle for tea, phone chargers, and books on ceramic production and decoration, where you can find inspiration and the necessary techniques. \n An important tool is a phone tripod, on which you can record a video and look back at how you're doing on the wheel. There's also a desk phone tripod for your social media content! Then don't forget to tag us or use #kerastudio

Semi-Finished Products in the Studio

In our ceramic studio, you will find semi-finished tableware and ceramic products (mugs, plates, bowls). You can paint them with colors or glaze them. Decorating semi-finished products can be done by complete beginners, children, and even pottery opponents who find themselves in the studio against their will. Prices of semi-finished products range from 180 CZK for a candlestick to 510 CZK for a large bowl. There are multiple variants of mugs or cups, bowl sizes, and plates to choose from. You can easily pay for semi-finished products through the contactless terminal in the studio.
